The Amino Acid GABA Increases HGH
Levels:
Gamma Amino Butyric Acid - GABA
- is an excellent HGH releaser. Several clinical studies have found
that ingestion of GABA increases HGH by stimulating the pituitary
to secrete growth hormone. It may work especially well after exercise.
There are also studies on GABA
showing calming effects, aiding relaxation. It may also help to
decrease epileptic seizures and muscle spasms by inhibiting message
transmission in neurons. This helps control nerve cells from firing
to fast and overloading the nervous system.
Another benefit is for the elderly
in particular. As people age, research indicates that HGH levels
in the body begin to decrease. By the age of 45, some adults may
not be able to fall back into a deep sleep when waken in the middle
of the night due to the lack of healthy HGH levels.
In a study involving men with
HGH deficiency, research found significant psychological improvements
in patients perception of their energy level and mood following
six months of growth hormone supplementation induced by GABA.
GABA increases HGH best if taken
after exercise, or at night before sleep on an empty stomach. As
GABA can cause drowsiness, bedtime may be the best time to take
it. Doses should start at less than 500mg. Too much GABA can cause
temporary flushing, anxiety and shortness of breath.
